Title: Brushless ESC
Post by: Pat-K on January 14, 2025, 11:52:06 am
Hello Good People,

Seeking you advise again please, just aquire two models both with brushless motors but only one ESC :-( - I like mt models to be realistic - I require an ESC that gves and immediate response to going stern and will give full speed astern.

I like the Mtronik brand but they are so expensive - anyone any experience of other brands - the important thing is immediate response to going astern and full power not half power in going stern.

TIA

Pat

1. You probably only need to do it once,
2. Lots of youtube videos that show you how to,
3. Faff = more options to suit your own needs!

Pat, only just seen this post so you may be sorted now. If not I only use HobbyWing  Quicrun and SeaKing ESCs in my builds and for performance v cost I find them excellent.

I have a couple of 30amp Quicrun and was disappointed that I couldn't use my program card with them and had to use the bleep method and it wasn't too bad.

But from another thread I've found out that the water-cooled version (you don't have to use that) can use the program card. If I'd known I would have bought them as they are only a few pounds more expensive.

I buy mine from Wheelspin Models so worth a look there.
