Dual Conversion Receivers
« on: August 23, 2009, 07:24:23 pm »

 :-)Hello,
I have not long been the owner of a Hitec Laser 6 transmitter which was supplied with the usual extras of Servos and the above receiver.
Whilst I also own a Hitec 3ch transmitter and in order not to waste sailing time swapping electrics in various boats I would like to know if the Laser 6 can be used with a single receiver or does one have to purchase further dual control receivers at what seems a hefty price.
Thanks,
Bernard.

Dual conversion receivers have two sets of filters to make signal selection more accurate.  They have the same Tx requirements as a Single conversion Rx, however the dual conversion Rx crystals are different from single conversion ones.

For this reason when I buy cristal sets I buy three crystals a TX an Rx Single and an Rx Dual crystal.
