I think they should recover the diana.

4 and a half meters of railing in 14 years, two things, could that have been due to the titan shock wave, and at that rate of decline, its going to be another hundred years before there is any depreciative effect on the bow.

Wonder if 'Prop wash' generated by the 'Research vehicles' has assisted in the accelerated degeneration? Can't have been many currents at that depth before we started interfering.

the circulating current from labrador might have an effect, being cold it might run at sea floor level as it starts near greenland and joins the warmer water flowing up the east coast from the equator, just a thought.

Was watching the indianapolis program  on channel 84, and how they found it, looks like the US navies official position appeared to be at least 50-100 miles out, it appears that the straits current at sea floor level was stagnant or very low flow as the ship is well preserved.

It does seem to be  disintegrating at much the same rate as the Jutland wrecks in the shallow North Sea.

Swan killed by high-speed model boat in 'tragic accident' during Nottinghamshire lake race

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/swan-killed-by-high-speed-model-boat-in-tragic-accident-during-nottinghamshire-lake-race/ar-AA1tyoQB?fbclid=IwY2xjawGxSu9leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHfbNnlkofBMv2bb9fWKBDPJkGWk00w6IwH8rMseEooi6GTY14ItqRwm1cg_aem_r--t-TFCSnzonuid5zAmdA

I'm no lover of swans (we had an aggressive male on the Oxford club's pond last year which attacked my electric powered scale model on the water) but this is bad news for anyone negotiating for use of a stretch of water. The average council member will remember this and fail to realise that the overwhelming majority of model boaters enjoy pottering around on the water at little more than walking pace and respect the rights of the wildlife.
