She's coming along well mate! It's a big model. I guess you know you can post pics on here now by clicking the "Additional Options" link under the text box. I guess it may be a bit much to put on martin's server for all those pics, but that's up to you. You could do the odd one.
Just thought I'd mention it incase you didn't know. Keep up the great work!

I have been following your build of this carrier with interest. I don't think there are many of this class about and you have certainly done quite a few modifications to the original hull.

So far, you have done wonder's with it and it should look quite impressive when you eventually finish it. The speed at which you are working on it is also quite amazing, considering that you only bought the hull a couple of months ago. Do you spend all day working at it, as I noticed that you are enjoying your retirement, according to your avitar?

I do not build ships myself, as I havent got the patience for one thing, but come on here just to see what other people are up to. I have a special interest in naval ships, especially the less seen models like aircraft carriers. I have read that you will be sailing this model at the Kingsbury Water Park warship day in July, so I might pop down and have a look. It's not that far away up the motorway for me.

Will it be completed by July, or just far enough on to sail it? Anyway I wish you luck with it, you have got your work cut out with what is so far an excellent model. ;D

Nice update Warship, I take it that this is as far as you have reached in the build?
Those props look great too. I will be looking in again at your next update. ;D

Warship, I don't think you can assume lack of interest according to the number of posts. The thread has 460 views and is one of the most viewed in this forum. I've been looking at the thread, but not having anything practical to add, just haven't made a post in it. I like to look at other peoples builds, but am not going to make a post in every thread I read just to register 'interest'.

I daresay a few people will be disappointed in the withdrawal of your posts and images, and the forum is the poorer without them :(

I take your point, but compared to Model Warships were this build is also being posted, there is much more response. It seems that this site is more dedicated to non warship models. I know it has received lot's of views, but compared to other posts in this Build Section, it has received very little comment. If you want to follow this build, then you will have to log on to www.modelwarships.com

I wasn't having a dig Warship, so I hope it didn't come across like that :)

I see your point, having viewed your thread on modelwarships.com and seen the number of replies. I'm sure you would be able to make better use of your time than having to duplicate threads there and here too, so as long as we know the thread's there we can have a look at progress now and again.

I don't build warships (serving on them was enough for me!), but I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into them.

It looks like a great model and I'll certainly keep an eye on modelwarships.com to follow the progress.

I know you wasn't having a dig Dave and glad you appreciate my model. I just thought that posting on here, being a British site would create more interest, but it seems not. I served 10 years in the RN including 3 years on Boats, that's why I like modelling warships. The Vic has many memories for me, having served with her, aboard one of the escorts during the sixties. Mind you, she had been modernised by then.

Geoff, Its like I said to you, most of the guys on this site are into building kits or are in to fast electrics or sail, scratch building is something that only interest a few people, also because a lot of the guys know each other they tend to stick together, just a few have posted in our subjects, and I thank thoughs individuals for there posts, even I thought we had found a good brit site, but as usual we are finding its like the one I have frequented for 5 years, you have to work over time to grab there attention, ron h

As Dave says you have their attention gauging from the number of views. I would suggest that most people appreciate the effort and skill being applied but have nothing of substance to add and are not inclined to post 'nice boat' messages. Being British we are all naturally reticent anyway  ;D ;D ;D
