All,
For very personal reasons to do with health, I am having to come to terms with the fact that I will not be able to resurrect Linkspan Models.
As a consequence, I am wanting to offer the 'essentials' of the company to anyone who might fancy 'having a go'.
Please contact me directly for fuller details but, essentially, what is on offer is the following:
Fibreglass hull moulds for Free Enterprise V, Norland and Spirit of Free Enterprise (each cost over £1000 to have fabricated)
A number of completed hulls in store for each of the 3 kits
Drawings for all 3 kits in electronic format
Background research data for these 3 kits and numerous others
Instructions for FEV and Norland
Graphics - both physical and in data format - for each of the 3 kits
Various fittings, both 3D printed and etched brass/nickel silver for the 3 kits
All the data files for the fittings for the 3 kits
All the data files for the laser-cut elements of the kits
A Sinterit Lisa 3D printing system comprising the printer itself, the powder cleaning sieve and the parts cleaner. (New cost is/was just over £10,000)
The website and domain name
If no-one is interested in taking on the whole package, then I would be willing to discuss splitting the parts.
The most expensive element is, and has always been, the 3D printer set up. It is not your usual £399 Amazon or Ebay special. Check out the Sinterit website for details. Ours is in full working order and has never let us down so far - but it has not been used for the past 2 years. This inactivity is immaterial as the lack of use will have no bearing on its condition. It was new to us imported direct from the manufacturer.
Give me a shout if there is anything of interest - I know how much we have spent on this adventure, and I know how much we have lost. Make a profit??? No..... I dont think so..... Did we enjoy the adventure? Absolutely!!!!!
