I knew you were slightly older than me but I thought not so old to have
a black and white camera  ;D

The pictures I took of the crowd were from the distance still cleaning them up
these look good

I was just looking at pic number three, and noticed the two uniforms, are they Police, and if so are they wearing bullet proof jackets, and if so why, I thought it was a model boat regatta, therefore the models would not be firing shells......

Yes you are quite correct they are the local bobbies that ensure our safety at the park.  They are also boat enthusiasts from the look on their faces or they were just dreaming of a life on the ocean wave. :-*

In that case it is a sad state of affairs when on the beat Police have to wear Bullet proof vests...... ??? ???

You're right, but those vests are really intended as protection against knives rather than bullets, not that that's any less worrying really, but at least a policemen armed with a firearm is still a rarity in the UK other than at places like airports. This is a worldwide problem though isn't it?

So far I have never seen a copper in a vest, unless they are going after a person who is armed, the average cop would never get to wear one, I hope we never get to the time that they will be compulsory........

they are standard beat cops wearing the standard issue kit But is it any wonder they are wearing that kit??
look at where the missouri's guns are pointing I think the captain may not like them ;)

All the coppers in my town wear the stab vests even the plastic bobbies do, but then again the town is normally swamped with the MP's as well so we are well protected. It was all because one of the coppers got glassed, not sure how it protects their faces???????

Maybe it's not only the guns on the Missouri being the reason they were patrolling the park.  did you notice the dodgy characters that are behind them !!!!!!!!! :-\  :o
