Hi,

Does anyone have any photographs of the propellers, rudders and A or P brackets? on a RN P2000 craft?

A quick google turns up this;



There's not too much out there, shame really as they're nice boats (although highly under-engined!). They do get put ashore in civvie dockyards, I'm almost certain I've seen one in Gosport Marina. They do irk me a little though when they constantly pretend to be warships when the biggest weapon they usually have is a breadknife.

I was on the the original design p2000 in 1986 but engines were governed to 24 knots removed 40+

Don't knock the bread knife! Steven Segal was lethal with one once 

They are quite sleek, and armed with a couple Miniguns would be quite nasty in the right circumstances.

I have had a word with my Son in Law to-day, he doe's not have any photo's of his ship also he doe's not know any that is coming out of the water soon, he did say you could try the dock yard at Portsmouth to see if they may have the detail's that you need.

Those photos are taken in the yard I work in at Holyhead.  Theres meant to be a couple up in the next few months so can get a few detailed pics

Also the vast majority have now been re-engined by us now to CATs replacing the RR CV12s with new shafts and props
