Oh come on lads THINK Wickstead club have done the frequency control for the last couple of years and they have a little so and so running it.

Last year I had megga trouble with someone using either the same frequency as me or one closeto it.Make sure that you do haev your areial FULLY extended with a tip protector fitted.I have found out especially on the Futaba sets that if the aerial is not fully extended it will use one up and also one down from your own frequency including yours thus using three at a time but with it fully up they dont.

If anyone is not sure of their 40mhz frequency come and see me as I hav ea checker

Sorry Colin
What I meant was according to the chart I have there are 32 channels on am of which 13 have a colour associated with them. Is the entire 32 used or do people only use the 13colours.
If I make a frequency chart I do not want to get it wrong

27, 40 Blow all that stuff.
Get yourself a Futaba 2.4 GHZ set up.  NO PROBS even with a spray in the way our anything Else for that matter. AND BEFORE I start up the same old poo again about 2.4 It is very fair to say I have NEVER lost a OMRA type boat unlike my Sanwa 40 MHz stuff i used to run in my sparky boats.
It dose however get over the Who's on wot Freq. Come on treat yourself to 21st century tecno Lads and Lady's.

Got to agree with you Bill  :-))
I took the plunge and have been running both boats on 2.4GHz at 4 races so far.
Not a twitch out of them!  The boats are still rubbish (or my driving)  %)  but the Futaba is superb.
The only peg I'll need is the ones to dry the clothes after the annual downpour  {-) {-)

Don't forget your Omra DVD's to play.

I'll bring the wmv files on a penstick. Have you any battery speakers for the soundtrack?  If not, I have a small set I can bring.

Danny

To all Mayhemers, I hope those of you attending have a good weekend at Wicksteed. Unfortunately I shall be unable to join you as I am playing taxi driver for relations to Gatwick and also preparing for the Alfold Show the following weekend.

Brian
re; frequencies, here is a chart, you just need a big version for the peg board (I can do a A3 if you like)
As for me, as I am also a dinosaur I'm on 27 meg, despite Bill trying to get me to go to 2.4 Ghz (might make the step to 40 meg soon)
My lounge looks like I'm preparing for a 6 month expedition, better start packing now cos it could take a while.
 :-)) :-))
And as I'm picking up Andy on the way, if I run out of space I might have to strap him to the roof of the caravan with his boat tucked under his arm  {-)
