sanwa bec reciever max input voltage
« on: June 04, 2009, 07:00:23 pm »

Hi,

I have a sanwa 27mhz radio set in a marblehead yacht. The reciever is fed from a 4.8 nicad pack and the winch is fed from a 9.6v nicad pack.

Can the reciever be fed from the 9.6v nicad as well as the winch. Ie both on the same supply via a "y" lead.

thanks

Some receivers have a regulator fitted internally. Your radio manual should indicate this. If not - or you've mislaid the manual - then best to run the Rx via a separate BEC from the 9.6v supply.
And Stavros is  right.............  :P
