Hi Chaps. This is the dsrv, originally designed and produced by Eden models and later produced by me to the original spec. The model in the pic was in fact a kit produced by myself..... Note the yellow anchor on the dive unit ballast tank.
The model worked well, it has an Akula dive unit on board.runs off two 6Volt batteries wired in series (12V) and mounted under the dive unit. The sub when built worked very well indeed and the basic design could be visually enhanced by the builder by the addition of railings, turret, hatches etc to his own design. This is something the builder of this boat has set about doing.
It did not sell in huge numbers, there are quite a few around though and there was a load of room on board if one wanted to fit a camera.
It's rather a benign thing, looks quite cuddly and can be seen well below the surface due to the bright yellow colouring.
If anyone buys it and it needs any parts, I can still make em.
I pulled the plug on it quite a while back as I wanted to make some mods to the design but simply haven't had the time. One day
