I haven't been able to use the 'Add image to post' feature. I have to use the Attachments bit, but my original photo's are far too big so I have to resize them first which I didn't have to do before.
Also when I do manage to upload an image I can't see the photo when I preview the post so I don't really know if it's worked or how the post looks before submitting.

Anyone else getting the same thing?

The image icon ( on the left, directly above the happy smiley ) works ok. Just click the icon, and [img][img] will appear. Find your photo on post image or whatever you are using, click 'show codes' and copy and paste the code, which is also a link, in between the two sets of brackets, like this [img]photo[img] and away you go, simples..... :-)) :-)) :-))

its possible that martin needs to reload the simple image upload app again for the new board format - http://postimage.org/mod.php
to get it working again maybe?

Hi,
I have previously had no problem clicking on add image to post and photo has downloaded.
I dont feel inclined to go to another site to prepare photos how about returning photo image to a working state.

Same here.

Couple of things to check:-
Windows up to date?
Internet Browser up to date?
Adobe Flash player up to date?
MS Silverlight up to date?

Those are the first 4 things I look at if I have issues with web pages

For the record, I have not had any issues with photos on Mayhem, either viewing or posting.
I have Windows XP, IE Explorer 8, and Paint Shop Pro.

I resize the photo to 600 max dimension in Paint Shop Pro, average 40 Kb size image.
I use Photobucket to store them, to save Martin being overloaded in bandwidth and storage space.
In photobucket I Copy the IMG Link.

Then Paste it into the Mayhem Post Reply text box wherever I want

Yes, I work from Photobucket too Bob usually,  but the issue appears to be with the "Add image to post" method that those without hosting accounts are using. I can't get it to work at all whatever size photo I'm trying on either Jpegs or Gifs for that matter ....

Oh and by "size", I mean both physical size and file size.

Clicking on the image icon brings up a Pop Up asking if I trust "scripted Windows on this site" Do I? and what does that mean please.

I haven't a clue, I have never come across that one before. just Googled it and come up with this    http://www.ecademy.com/node.php?id=96396 Are you usine Internet explorer? that may be the problem. I have used Firefox for years now and very rarely have any problems.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Nick. :-)) :-)) :-))

I have never used anything other than uploading directly from my PC,

Will attempt using option

"add image to post"

See nothing in preview will post it to see results

Obviously the "Add image to post " option is not workimg

ok just logged out of postimage and it still allowed me to upload an image, maybe you need to refresh your cache, try ctrl f5 when you are in a reply page and it will refresh the page from scratch, sometimes the old page gets remembered by your computer.

How I add a single image using 'Add image to post'.
I'm using Windows XP with the images saved in 'My Pictures' - Keep it simple to start with -  K.I.S.S.!

If you are using 'Windows 7' you may need to right'click on your selected image to 'Unblock' restrictions which will allow the image to upload. Otherwise you may get an 'Invalid File' message.

1.) Select 'Reply' beneath the last post
2.) 'Reply Box appears and select 'Add image to post'
3.) 'postimage.org' box pops-up in a new window on screen. Select 'Image' (to post a single image), and then 'Browse' to view and find image files on hard drive.
4.) A window opens-up on screen allowing selection of image. Click on chosen image and then 'Open'
5.) Screen returns to 'postimage.org window' and slected file name appears next to 'Browse' button. Press 'Upload It!'
6.) Upload Bar appears showing progress...
7.) 'Redirecting' appears for a second or two before 'postimage.org' window closes...
8.) Screen returns to Mayhem with image code showing in 'Reply' box.
9.) Selecting the 'Preview' button enables visual confirmation that the image has uploaded.
10.) Select 'Post' button to upload to Mayhem forum thread.
