Futaba 6 EX PCM
« on: January 22, 2011, 10:04:48 am »

I have one of these Futaba radios on the 40Mhz Band and was wondering if the toggle switches could be removed and replaced with variable sliders like the robbe navy radio has. I know they would be in a differant position
was just wondering if proportional control was possible instead of just on/off

Hi,
if you open the set up and the switches have three wires attached to the three pins on the switch, then some form of variable resistor can be fitted, If you find only two wires attached, then it will only accept some form of two position switch. However, I followed a link on these pages a few days ago to a gentleman in the west country who, I believe had either a kit of parts or at least plans for producing a unit that could 'up spec' a two position switch. Only problem is I cannot remember who it was??
