I would never trust a BEC in a receiver to regulate the system voltage to work the other bits like servos. I have a feeling that they were only intended to supply a regulated voltage to the actual electronics in the RX, leaving it to good luck whether the servo electronis would survive the probable 7.2 volt main battery. Typically, these will be quite happy with about 3.5 volts, so will work with a low battery voltage, even if everything else struggles.
So, like Kenny says, either a separate 4.8 volt battery, or a regulated 5 volt supply from either the ESCs BEC or a separate one. Or, if its a big, knobbly servo intended for a higher voltage and its own BEC, that would do the job as well.
