Do we still get to park down by the lake?
Sorry it's been a few years since I've been and can't remember protocol!

Currently residing in a hotel a few miles from the action. Once I've wrestled the kids into some clothes we will be down there!

Boy's n' girls, I hope you all have a great weekend...although the Motorflote is ready, I'm not going to get my car in time, so more's the pity, I'll not be coming up to join you.

I wish you all good weather, fair seas, and gentle winds. Have a great time, guys...

Thank you for your discretion in not publishing the red face of Mayhemer Yours Truly having an unexpected waterline malfunction.

GREAT DAY TODAY!

First of all  Grateful Thanks to the Wicksteed Park Model Boat Club for hosting Mayhem at Wicksteed again this year.
Thanks for all your efforts and support lads & ladies, lake looks great again this year.

The promised sunshine didn't turn up but it was a lovely warm day with the slightest of breezes......
The 'gazebo flying competition' was a bit of a damp squib this year so the camping shops will be down of resells this year.
SteamboatPhil was on good form this year, shiny new gnashers and glamorous girlfriend Steph keeping them both out... in trouble!

Only one sinking this year Bob K's "H.M.S. Polyphemus (1881), not quite a submarine", the topic obviously will now need renaming! - http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,36872.0.html

Great to chat with everyone on such a cheerful and relaxed day.
( Sorry if I made even less sense than normal while chatting or even a "bit off" but I've a hell of an gum abscess going on and I'm quite doped up!  {:-{ )
A great wide variety of boats on the water again this year, even wider than normal!

Here are a few photos....

The sinking is all over Facebook...sorry BobK. It wasn't me, I wasn't there, nobody saw me, and you can't prove a thing...

Klunk, who wanted a Royster kit, got a complete kit, hull, superstructure and fittings with the machined alloy rudders set and complete running gear?

Will bring it with me tomorrow if it was some one at Mayhem.
