Robbe F14 vs. F16 - What the difference?
« on: December 09, 2014, 06:55:02 pm »

Hi,
Would I be right is saying the F16 is basically an F14 with the LCD control panel and associated functionality added?

If not what the main differences?

Thanks in advance

Yes. Inside the boards are totally different, but basically an FC16 is an F14 with a computer bolted on. Which is no bad thing- very flexible rig, although I would seriously look at something like a Taranis unless you need the layout and extra add-ons of the F-series.

Yes the F-16 really is the one to go for. The computer is a godsend for setting throws and reversing servos and for the model memories.

F16 also has those two slider-operated channels (alongside the main sticks) as standard. Go for it. I only sold mine because 'Uggett was crying for it.......................... <:(

Are we talking about the F16 or the FC16?

The F16 is basically an 8 channel F14 in the case of an FC18. At least the case had the same shape and option places (3 places for switches above the 2 sliding pots).

FC16 (I believe the C stands for "computer") is the programmable 8 channel version with the LCD control panel.
If you can choose, take the FC16!

Yes, the FC-16. The F16 was only available for short while before being discontinued 15 or more years ago.

I agree, go for FC16. Adjustments are really necessary in many cases -  especially expo curve adjustments are really handy, when fine-tuning ESCs :) Helps quite a bit with over-sensitve controllers.

Will the FC 16 work with the 40Mhz fm receivers (R136F) that I am using with my F 14? I have contacted several retailers who just say they should do, but I'm not buying one on a "should do" as I have quite a few of them.
