I have decided on a Ton class minesweeper as my next build so I'm putting together the research on the boat so I can make a start.  I've got the 4 sheet plan set and some drawing that are to 1/38th scale.  I've also got some builder drawings that Christian sent me when I bought a 1/72 scale hull from him. 
The weird thing is that no where on any of those drawings does it show a stern end view of the rudders, props or shafts.
Does anyone on know how far apart the shafts on a Ton Class were?  Any measurement at all, full size, 1/48th scale or 1/72nd scale would be extremely helpful.

Hi, I once made some A frames for a Ton class, if I remember the hull had the bosses marked on the hull where they exited.

 Thanks for the response, Nemesis.  Which hull?  I've got Christian's 1/72nd scale hull, no bosses and a 1/38th scale hull which I'm not sure about the pedigree.  Neither of them has bosses on.

Thanks for the pic, I've not seen that before.  It's actually pretty useful as it shows the auxillary propellers really well.  They were electrically powered to propel the boat at 4 knots virtually silent.  Very useful when dealing with acoustic mines.
The A frames look considerably deeper than they appear on the drawing but that may be an artefact of the photograph.  Thanks anyway!

Think John Lambert did a set, sure it had a stern veiw.

Active rudders were fitted on Minehunters for
accurate slow speed manoeuvring.
Accoustic mines were the job of Minesweepers
deploying acoustic hammers or displacers.

Thanks for these.  The info I was after has been kindly supplied by Christian of MTB Hulls.  The Gull drawing show the shafts on a "P Bracket" while the above picture of Iveston shows "A" Frames but I pretty sure the dimension between shafts is the same.  Thanks again for posting.
