Picture time yet again, need help and im sure FLJ and Shipmate60 will be spot on.

2x ACTion ESC and the only wires are the usual futaba lead for the Rx and the power supply for the motors which are blue and yellow, any ideas as to how to run them on 7.2volts???

On the circuit board is what im guessing the board model P68 if that helps???
Could you enlighten me on how i can run these in my boat, im not worried what voltage i can run her on i just havent had her wet yet not even in the tub and would like to make her a runner if you know what i mean.

So that'd be motors powered by RX battery via being plugged into the RX.

Cheers for that Rob i didnt think to look at the website ::)

i did think that i could of used a servo to tamiya connecter on the tiny little things so i could run a 7.2Nicad throught the Rx but if memory serves me right most Rx's can only handle 4.8volts??

Ive got a 4.8volt 3800mah pack in my tamiya bismarck that should do the trick im guessing.

Good day

The vast majority of RXs (Receivers) are designed to run max 6v and min 4.5 and these are the exact/absolutely max and min voltage they will run on.    If you required the speed controllers that you have will run at 6v max.  Anymore than this and you will to put it politely FRY EM!   One way around it is to get a 6 cell pack made up x 5 cells at 1.2 and 1 dummy cell (plenty about on here this forum) and run your set up that way.

Hello, if you put a Mtroniks speedo in you can run 7.2v to the motors it will drop the voltage to 4.8 for the receiver, job done.

I have a spare Mtroniks marine ESC but wanted to make use of what was already in the boat before i make changes.

think its going to be a case of running it on 6volts via the Rx and see what happens.

Righty oh, on the extremely helpful advice and co-ordination on this subject ive done the right thing and got her running with a 4.8volt 1100Mah Rx pack and ive not put her on 6volts as this would cause problems.

Everything is running perfect and its the way im going to leave it as im happy.

Just got to ballast her down with a tiny bit of lead and bingo she will be ready for lake testing if its calm and flat that is.
