I have a chance at getting this kit made but in a bad way, will I be able to get parts for it, guns etc. Don't know how bad it is yet from the pics so can't give much information .  Chris

Well I didn't get it so I will have to wait and see if another one turns up,  there are plenty in the states but the cost of postage makes them out of reach.I have put a wanted add on this forum so I will see.

Unfortunately, not very much, at all, available in 1/125 scale! 1/96 is grossly oversized, so not even a distant consideration! The closest I have been able to locate are 1/144, but are, also, a bit difficult to find! The kits' 40-mm aa guns are not "terrible", but with a little "massaging", they can be made to look a bit better! The 20-mm guns, are what they are!! The 5"-38 deck mounts are not too bad looking, depending on how fussy you are about them. I added safety railings to the sides of mine, as well as metal ladders on the back sides, and they are not bad in appearance. The railings were made from .5mm brass wire, and the ladder rungs are N-scale, model railroad boxcar rungs. A bit of work to drill and install them, but look pretty good! I wish I had better news to share, but at 1/125, we are pretty much stuck with what is in the kit!

Thanks crazygary for your reply, but as said I didn't get it so it doesn't mater now, I will try and get another kit if I can find one at a reasonable price.

You can get photo-etch kits for the Blue Devil that dramatically improve all of the dtailing all over the boat - I saw one at a model show that was unrecognisable compared to the clunky original - it was amazing! (shame i can't find the pictures I took)

There was one on ebay last week - built but in need of tlc - £30 buy it now - they come up often - depends how good your searching is.

Thanks Plastic, worth considering, just have to work postage out   Just worked it out postage is more than the kit, out of my reach, i'll see if anything comes up in the UK.

If such an item is available, would save quite a bit on postage!!

I just saw one on Ebay UK for 29.62-pounds, and 11.85-pounds for shipping, and it is
coming from the USA!! Hah!! Go figure!!!

Ahhh!! Always a "glitch"!!
It would appear that the costs are merely listed in "pounds", and as such,
the shipping would still be a bit astronomical!
