Sorry to revive this thread but where did you purchase this model? I've been looking for something like this for quite some time. My grandfather Chris Bowers served on the U.S.S. Walke during WWII. He passed away when I was 4 so I never really got to know him. He was also the first sailor wounded so my grandmother has the ships flag. He also served on the U.S.S. Swanson the U.S.S. Badger and one other no  one can seem to ever remember. I'm sure it's written down somewhere Anyway I'd greatly appreciate any help you could give me I can't seem to find this anywhere but websites that are in Europe.
