Crikey Chris that looks complicated, hope it works though, still don't get the rates bit, would the stick you are using allow you to control the power from just tick over to full blast?  I assume you are still planning to use just the one stick again, going to be fun getting that lot running  {-)

Thought I had caught you problems, testing Hero for Saturday and port motor was jerky then today it was dead, esc working, direct power to motor ok wiring ok, so what could it be, finally sourced to a screw not fully tightened in the line connector,  Sorted it and all running spot on.
At least at Hereford its a purpose built pool so if a boat dies on with waders and rescue it, looking forward to this although weather is not looking good.
Lets know how the latest set up goes.
useless info, did you know your Tiger is only 6" longer then my Bristol!! yours a Cruiser mine Destroyer, how things change

HI Bob you say you dont get the rates bit well hopefully as i havnt treid it yet but usein them dual rates on the transmitter i can turn down the power to what i want an here in the pic is a shot out of the t/x instructishions talkin about it if you have read it ok an then i hope you will understand

Hi Chris I fully understand what fuel rates are  but not why you are using them to reduce your power. Surely the easiest and safest way is how far you push the stick which which will give you 0% to 200% available power, most useful in an emergency
Just my view but if your happy loosing some power then that’s fine, just not my thing I am afraid

HI Bob well my hand cordanation is not good when usein one stick on the rudder an one on the throttle on the left side stick an its easy to be a full throttle unkown to me as Norwich pond gets busy at times with other craft on the water an i dont want to hit them so im concentratein on that rather than my throttle if you understand what i mean sir an no i dont want to lose power but i may have to as the pond is only 60 ft accross so not a lot of time to take avioable action

Sadly Chris
Event cancelled due to site being flooded out, and although probably drained now th3e integrity of the rail beds and surrounding area will not be usable for some time.  They hope to reschedule it in the near future.

She looks better and better every time I see her Chris. The lighting helped create a scale effect and made her even more detailed.

Yes managed to chat to him, nice to see he is building the proper Tiger as many would say i.e. the ship before she got the shoe box.  Sounds well on the way with it as well.  Have you tested that layout yet?

HI GUYS well ive been thinking about drilling that bad led out of one of the 6 inch guns that was playin up for about a month now on the best way to go about it so today jen came up to model room to give me a hand as just as well she did i opened up the gun turret so i could see the wires on the led the wires were both black so i dint know positive or negative so i got me trusty small dremel drill an procced to drill out the bad led in the gun barrel

but unknown to me when i c/a the led in postion in the gun barrel the c/a had run down the gun barrel an gone hardSO a problem there as the gun barrel was longer than the small 2mm drill bit so i had a thunk an fit an glued in the 2 mm drill into a brass tube which was longer than the gun barrell right / wrong so i stuck the long drill into the gun barrel an carryied on drillin an i hit a block of something hard an i though what can it be but again unknown to me the small drill bit must have been weak drill bit as an jen was lookin in the back of the gun barrell where the wires must come out

AN she found something that i dint exspect an that was a broken drill bit had jammed in the backend of the gun barrell god it took some gettin out but with jens help we managed it but it took most of the day an when we got a hole right through the gun barrel simple matter of threadin the led wires down the barrel right / wrong the bloomin wires wont go through an we tried for hrs to get the wires through an jen in the end got her tiny hand into the gun turret an manged to get the wires through PHEW what a tryin time but then it was just a matter of tryin to find out which wire was positive an neg an wirein the wires an soldering them in an covered in shrink rap to stop any short outs SO NOW BOTH GUNS FLASH AMBER IN TIME WITH THE GUN FIRE UNIT boy am i glad we got that done an as i thought it wasnt goin to be easy an it wasnt

HI Dave yes it was a real pain to do an i was dreadin doin it but when i treid out the guns it made me annoyed to see only one gun flash but two gun bangs so i asked jen to help me as i knew it would not be a simple drill out the failed led in the gun barrel an fit in a new led an just as well jen helped with her small hands in the gun turret as i could not get my hands in so in the end not a simple task but yes im pleased now the only thing that now dont work is the smoke unit as the mister has packed up but got another on the way but really tiger is now already for her next voyage
cheers dave

You and your Jen are a great team. You hear sadly of so many partners and spouses whose sole reaction to ones hobby is eye rolling and grumbling about mess/expense/space/better things to do.

I am sure this isn't exclusive as I also see many very supportive other halves both in the trade side and hobby side of several historical miniature parts of our diverse creative hobby  8)
