Thanks Martin, I found planking the most relaxing part of the build really. I think around 18metres of 8mm mahogany strip from CMB!

Beautiful model/

What motor/s did you use and what was the prop size?

I fitted  two Brushless Mtroniks 28 x 38 1100kv outrunners from Howes Models. Propellers from Component shop were  35mm brass 3 blade.
Component now have a slightly larger motor  35 x 36 1520kv which would be a good deal faster (not in stock when I needed them).

Thats all.

Absolutely beautiful model.

Is it based on a kit or scratch built?

Superb work.

Its scratch built. Not a great plan tbh had a few puzzling moments. Its double diagonal planked with plystrips (256 of them!)

Let me guess you had trouble with bulkhead 5 or was it the split bulkhead towards the stern

Ah! Dave you've obviously been there, none of the bulkheads were drawn with clear marking for the notches for the chines etc and both bulkheads forming
the cabin front and rear were - split!  With the top half not shown.
Fortunately I had the experience from making the smaller Seaplane ST 206 to get to grips with the plan/build, being quite similar.
