Enjoyed the latest film by Guy Richie- the Ministry of Ungentlementary Warfare- over the top I initially thought until I discovered it was actually based on real events! Even then I thought it must embellished until you find out it wasn’t that much different to the real story.
Currently watching the new series of SAS Rogue Heroes, funny and says it’s based on true events but not 100% but at least it’s a laugh and they get a lot right. Glad they showed the involvement of the LRDG in the first series.

Tom Hanks is a great Actor, but he really played his part in a film GREYHOUND.


I actually liked this better than Pearl Harbour.

I watched this more than three times and on every viewing saw something extra I had not noticed in the previous viewings.

Off piste a bit but there is a recent TV series which is has just about the worst of misleading names you can imagine.  It is called U-Boat war gamers.
It is the factual account of how the U boat threat was defeated during WW2, it comes in 6 episodes.  When you realise that it was a group of very bright ladies in the Navy who came up with the various strategies that turned the tide on the U boats in the battle of the Atlantic, you wonder why they are never mentioned!
The ladies are named at the end and their later life detailed.
Do not miss it!!!!

I was surprised when I recorded A Timeless Christmas, I thought Oh dear! I am starting to like chic flicks!  But on checking with the review sites , much to my surprise, they all liked it too!  I have watched it a couple of times now and always enjoyed it.
Films do not always need to be war or action to be enjoyable.
