Nice to see the crew upholding the British tradition by getting back to the ship legless after a night on the town .

But you need this to appeal to the 'I'm a celebrity' and 'Luv Island' mentality. Yet another BBC fantasy series.   %)

If you expect a programme like this to demonstrate the military side of the deployment you will be disappointed. The footage permitted by the RN to be broadcast is tightly controlled. You could see that nothing of military significance was included. Interior shots were nearly all close ups in confined spaces and exterior shots tended to be wide angle. There were some interiors of the bridge but that is mainly used for navigation. The ship is controlled from the operations room.

So all you are left with is a human interest puff piece that suits the Navy really. Still quite interesting though.

When the Invincible class were in service you could wander all round the flight deck and hangar on Navy Days and take all the photos you wanted. The general public have never been allowed to visit the QE class and there don't appear to be any plans to change this. (this programme was from material filmed before the invasion of Ukraine.)

Hi The 2 male characters they chose to concentrate on.  The 'Rupert' type reminded me of much earlier military service and rather hoped they had gone by now.

The rating was worthy of the turn around it is possible to make although discipline is yet to take route.
But as has been previously said, to us perhaps the whole thing is dumbed down again as per many documentaries.

Off piste I love the mickey taking Philomena Cunk mockumentaries easy to miss them.  You have to give them 5  minutes run time to appreciate them.
Sorry to go off thread.

Colin mentions the shyness of the RN to pics of this class, I do notice every time this pair come in the decks are immediately covered over and even canvass walls to deck level. Wonder why perhaps they are practicing for the local skittles matches?
